LFO singer Devin Lima undergoes surgery to remove 'massive' tumor
LFO's Devin Lima has opened up about his current health battle.
The 40-year-old boyband singer revealed that he will undergo surgery to remove a "massive" tumor. According to TMZ, doctors went in on Thursday morning to remove the benign tumor, which sat on his adrenal gland. It was said to have been discovered a few weeks ago.
In a video posted to YouTube the day before the surgery, Devin, alongside LFO bandmate Brad Fischetti, announced that the band's upcoming tour had been postponed and said it would take about eight weeks before Devin could perform again.
Asking for prayers and positive thoughts, Devin opened up about the tumor, which he described as the size "of a big sundae."
"And it's covering everything. It's like hot fudge on my kidney and pushing up against my aorta," he explained. Brad assured fans the surgeons said Devin is expected to make a full recovery.
Devin's health struggles come seven years after his bandmate Rich Cronin passed away from leukemia at age 36.
LFO had massive musical success in the early 2000s, driven by their hit 'Summer Girls'.
