It's the news Frozen fans have waited so patiently to hear: the popular 2013 Disney movie is officially getting a sequel. Parents, prepare for more snowy sing-alongs… there's no letting this one go just yet.
Disney announced the news at a company meeting today in San Francisco before tweeting it out to the world.
"Forecast: Winter weather ahead! @DisneyAnimation developing #Frozen2 with [the first film's directors] Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee," Disney wrote.
Kristen Bell, who voiced Anna in the original film, tweeted a picture of herself resting on an icepack with the caption: "Dreams really do come 2!!! #FROZEN2 #itsofficial."

Frozen 2 will follow the new short film Frozen Fever, which is screening ahead of Disney's live-action remake of Cinderella in cinemas this month. See the trailer for that below:
John Lasseter, chief creative officer at Pixar, Walt Disney Animation Studios, said today: "We enjoyed making Frozen Fever so much and being back in that world with those characters.
"Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck have come up with a great idea for a sequel and you will be hearing a lot more about it and we’re taking you back to Arendelle. We are so excited about that."
