Larry King, 87-year-old broadcaster, reportedly hospitalised with COVID-19

Legendary broadcasting star Larry King has been diagnosed with COVID-19, according to various reports.

His condition is not known, but he has been admitted to hospital and is currently in isolation.

The 87-year-old has previously survived a heart attack and a stroke, as well as prostate and lung cancer and Type 2 diabetes. This year, two of his children died within a month of each other.

King has had a decades-long career in news in the USA, on CNN and as a USA Today columnist. The acclaimed TV interviewer now hosts Ora TV's Larry King Now, where he interviews celebrities, world leaders and internet stars.

From 1985 to 2010, King hosted CNN's Larry King Live.

He underwent a heart procedure in 2019 after experiencing chest pain, CNN previously reported.
