Lady Gaga hits back at Super Bowl body shamers: 'I'm proud of my body'

Lady Gaga couldn't care less about the trolls who fat shamed her after her epic Super Bowl LI performance.

Critics flooded social media with remarks about the size and tone of her stomach as she danced through her hits onstage. Since Sunday's halftime show, it's been an all-out war between the haters and Gaga's fans, who swiftly came to her defense.

The sparring was enough to push Gaga, 30, to finally speak out on her Instagram page.

Posting a photo from her performance, the 'Born This Way' singer explained, "I heard my body is a topic of conversation so I wanted to say, I'm proud of my body and you should be proud of yours too.

"No matter who you are or what you do. I could give you a million reasons why you don't need to cater to anyone or anything to succeed. Be you, and be relentlessly you. That's the stuff of champions. Thank you so much everyone for supporting me. I love you guys."

It's doubtful she was down in the dumps over the criticism. Her Super Bowl halftime show was the second-highest rated of all time after Katy Perry's in 2015.
