Kiwi actor KJ Apa has lashed out at a man he accuses of stealing his identity and "likeness".

The star, 28, famous for playing Archie Andrews in the series Riverdale, shared a video on his official Instagram account to his millions of followers, not naming TikTok sensation Mr. Fantasy but seemingly talking about him.

"I don't usually do this, take things here to talk about, but I have to do it now because it's hurting me and my career," he began the impassioned clip.

"There was recently a music video that was released that included a bunch of people who are really close to me by a guy who's completely and utterly stolen my image and misappropriated my image and my likeness," he said.

Mr. Fantasy's Do Me Right clip features some of Apa's Riverdale co-stars and a host of stars, including Nick Jonas and Patrick Schwarzenegger.

"We all know who we're talking about, and it's f--ked up," Apa continued.

Although fans know Apa is behind Mr. Fantasy, the actor has long denied he is the viral TikTok sensation and musician.

Underneath his latest Instagram video, some of his famous friends played along with the joke, including Twilight star Taylor Lautner, who wrote: "I was a huge fan of his man but you're right, this has to end."

"I'm sorry man," Patrick Schwarzenegger commented.
