Kelsey Grammer reveals a plan has been 'hatched' for a Frasier reboot in 2020
Kelsey Grammer has not only revealed that a Frasier reboot is in the works, but the veteran star has also told fans when to expect the comedy to return to screens.
In a recent interview on In Depth With Graham Bensinger, the 64-year-old shared some details on the highly anticipated series return.
"We've hatched the plan, what we think is the right way to go," Grammer told host Graham Bensinger. "We're sort of on standby a little bit, working out a couple of possible network deals that we're circling. Frasier is sort of in a second position to that at this point. So there's still stuff going on. But a revisit to Frasier's world is, I think, definitely going to come."

In the interview, Grammer shared the plot of the rebooted series, which ended in 2004 after an award-winning 11-year run. The show was about psychiatrist Dr Frasier Crane, played by Grammer, who moves to Seattle for a fresh start and finds himself scoring a gig as a radio psychiatrist. Grammer won two Golden Globes for his role as Dr Crane, as well as five Emmy Awards.
"We'll see how people respond to it because it's not going to be the same place, it's not going to be Seattle," he shared of the reboot. "It's not going to be the same Frasier — it's going to be the man in his next iteration. Hopefully, that'll be something people like watching. But I think it'll be funny.
"It's still his search for love, for one thing," Grammer added. "I think that'll always go on with Frasier. But [also] a connection with his son."
Grammer said fans could expect the series to return to screens next year in the US Summer.
"It's ready to go. We just gotta sort of staff it and find somebody that wants to give us money for it," he laughed.
