Nicole Kidman makes first public post to ex-husband Keith Urban in sweet response to his move
A day after Keith Urban shared his first public message to ex-wife Nicole Kidman, she’s done the same with her own sweet post.
In celebration of Father’s Day in the US, on Sunday, the Australian actress shared two beautiful pictures, one with her own father and another of Urban with their daughters when they were young.

“Happy Father’s day to all the fathers,” she captioned the black and white post on her Instagram stories.
It’s the first time that Kidman has publicly acknowledged her ex-husband like this, marking a very poignant day after rumblings of tensions between him and Sunday Rose, 17 and Faith Margaret, 15.
The post from the Babygirl star came a day after he took to his own Instagram Stories to celebrate her 59th birthday.
It was also his first public message to her since their split.
“Happy birthday Nicole Mary!” read the text on the colourful blue and purple background.
Mary is Kidman’s middle name, which clearly added a personal touch to the message and may even be a reference to nicknames they once had in their marriage.
The sweet birthday shoutout marks the first time that Urban has publicly reached out to his ex-wife, after their divorce was finalised in January.

Kidman also shared her own post to celebrate the occasion.
Sitting among a picturesque mountain setting she looked at the sun with a smile on her face.
“Another trip around the sun ☀️💛 Thank you for all the birthday love xx #SummerSolsticeBaby,” she captioned the post.
The exes split in September 2025 after nearly 20 years of marriage, and a day after the news broke, Kidman officially filed for divorce.

In the months since the split there have been rumours of tensions between Urban and his daughters, Sunday Rose, 17 and Faith Margaret, 15.
The country singer was recently unfollowed then refollowed on Instagram by his eldest daughter, amid reports there were tensions between them and they were no longer speaking.
But a source spoke out last month and put those rumours to bed, shutting down speculation that the girls were no longer in contact with their dad.
“The girls are very close with their mum and also protective of her,” the source told People.
“They do have a relationship with their dad, too.”
