Katie Price’s husband Lee Andrews claims he was ‘held at gunpoint’ before going missing

Katie Price’s husband, Lee Andrews, has broken his silence on his mysterious disappearance, claiming he was “captured” by “men armed with assault rifles” at the Hatta-Oman border.
In the video posted to Instagram, he claimed that he was captured by the National Guard, arrested and taken to a “black site”, before thanking his wife, Katie Price, for getting him out of the situation.

“I’ve been missing now for several weeks,” he started the video.
“I can tell you I’m now safe and, healthy and I’m with my wife.”
He then went on to detail a scary situation, where he claims he was “taken at gunpoint” by men “with assault rifles,” close to the Hatta-Oman border.
“They did slap me around a little bit, little s---s… I was hand-tied, shackled, and also with a hood over my head,” he claimed.
He did not explain why he was close to the Hatta-Oman border but continued, explaining he was “taken to a black site.”
“I had no use of my phone, and from what I know it was an extended arm of the National Guard. And that’s all I can reveal at the moment.”
Andrews also claimed he has signed disclaimers with state security and wasn’t allowed to discuss the alleged arrest any further.
Andrews then turned his attention to the fraud allegations levelled against him since his disappearance. UK media outlets reported allegations Andrews was running several cons before his arrest, including an alleged investment scam.
“At no point have I faced anything to do with fraud allegations or any criminal activity as such,” he said in the video.
When reports first broke that he was in jail, Price told UK outlets he was being held on suspicion of espionage.

However, Dubai police had previously said he was being held over a civil dispute, not on suspicions of espionage.
“So I’m sending these messages out to my loved ones and my beautiful wife who, without her help involving all the UK authorities, I don’t think I would have got out of that situation,” Andrews continued.
“Because of the tensions and things happening in the region and me being so close to the border; this is why I was suspected of espionage and held in a state security building without the use of a telephone and any rights to shower, contact, or speak to any of my family, including the embassy or my wife.”

Andrews continued: “Thank you to Katie for making such a noise where the UAE actually listened and let me go.”
He went on to explain he then had a civil matter to attended to in Dubai, which caused him to be transferred from the “black site” to Al Awira prison.
“From there, I did have a civil case in Dubai, which led to me going into the mainstream prison during the Arabic holidays, Eid.
“And I was able to secure my release, and I’m here now, so thank you for everyone for listening and loved blessings to everyone.”
The video was also the first time Andrews had spoken publicly about what happened, four days after his release from jail.
Andrews was first thought to have been kidnapped before it was revealed he was being held in jail. Previous reports claimed that Andrews would need to fork over £100,000 ($188,000) to be released.

It’s understood Price had been visiting him in jail and trying to get the paperwork sorted for his release, which relied on paying the huge fine.

The couple tied the knot in January in Dubai just a week after meeting.
Price had issued a desperate online plea last month to help find her husband after he failed to board a flight to the UK to see her.
The former reality star was left in the dark over his whereabouts, with no idea if he had been kidnapped, or in jail, with little information known.
At one point, Andrews was officially listed as a missing person.
