Katherine Langford says working alongside fellow Australian actress Toni Collette on their new film was an amazing experience.

The women appear alongside Daniel Craig, Jamie Lee Curtis, Don Johnson, Chris Evans and Christopher Plummer in the new whodunnit mystery film Knives Out, and in an interview with 9Honey Celebrity on the London red carpet on Tuesday, Langford opened up about working with the incredible cast.

"I was excited to work with everyone for different reasons," the 13 Reasons Why actress told us.

"It was amazing to gradually, as the shoot went on, to meet everyone and then you're hanging out with them and by the end of it we were all hanging out in the green room, which was the basement of this incredible, amazing, self built, 400-year-old family house in Boston, and you just go to work every day and it became a bit of a film family, which was really nice."

While Langford plays Collette's daughter in the film, the two Aussies played Americans.

"It was strange but also not strange because we were both in America and just working with American accents, it actually felt very organic," the 23-year-old said.

"But, it was nice to hear another Aussie accent on-set, kind of behind-the-scenes."

"He's so talented and he's so humble about it… He did such an amazing job and I think he is such a talented filmmaker," she said, adding that she would often stand behind the monitors and watch Johnson work.

And it seems the respect is mutual, with Johnson raving about the Aussie actresses.

"And Toni Collette is legendary! Toni Collette — I've been editing the movie and watching the footage over and over, I can still sit and watch Toni Collette and still find new things she's doing in the performance, she's incredible."
