Kanye West objects to Kim Kardashian's petition amid divorce settlement
Kanye West is objecting to Kim Kardashian's latest divorce request, with his lawyer filing new documents against her.
Kim has made a petition to have a judge declare her single before settling custody and property issues, according to TMZ.
While the resolution of custody and property is scheduled for early next month, it seems Kim is keen on gaining her singledom as soon as possible, to Kanye and his lawyer's suspicion.

TMZ reports that Kanye seems to agree with Kim's decision to be declared single, but his lawyer is "worried Kim might remarry and move some of their assets to her separate accounts."
Kanye appears to support Kim's decision, so long as safeguards are in place so their assets remain as marital property.
There are also three conditions Kanye is asking of Kim, which she has reportedly rejected.
- "If either of them dies, he wants to make sure any money that might be owing to either gets reimbursed.
- Kanye wants to block Kim from transferring assets out of any trust they created.
- He wants Kim to waive their marital privilege pending a final custody decision."

Kanye also wants to ensure any communication between him and Kim are part of court records. If Kim remarries, he wants her to waive any spousal privilege between her and her new husband.
This would ensure that if Kim and a new husband discuss custody, Kanye would be informed of them as they would be reported to the court.
Despite these demands from Kanye, there is already a prenup in place that keeps all of his and Kim's property separate.
As TMZ notes, it's "almost certain" the judge will accept Kim's plea for single status next month.
