One Instagram message from Kanye West changed Aussie Bianca Censori's life

Kanye West's wife Bianca Censori might be known for her exhibitionist fashion and for looking eerily similar to the rapper's ex-wife, Kim Kardashian.

But some observers might not realise she's Australian – and even reportedly studied a Masters of Architecture – or know how the pair even got together in the first place.

The message that started it all

Hailing from Melbourne, Censori, 30, who is of Italian heritage, reportedly worked for his brand, Yeezy, as an architectural designer and got onboard with the brand around 2020.

A 'former friend' of Censori previously said during a radio interview with Fitzy and Wippa that West poached the Aussie creative on Instagram to join the brand. He sent her a direct message, apparently.

"So basically, [Bianca] was, I think studying architecture at Melbourne. And then [Kanye] somehow found her on Instagram and said, 'Come and work for me in LA' so she's just kind of dropped everything and gone there," they alleged.

It remains unclear when the relationship turned romantic.

Kardashian filed for divorce in early 2021. In December 2022, the Stronger artist reportedly released a track called Censori Overload, which seemingly confirmed his romance with the Aussie.

A secret wedding

West, who just weeks ago made headlines for supposedly changing his name to "Ye Ye,'' and Censori were believed to have secretly tied the knot in January 2023.

However, it was believed to not have been an official legal wedding, TMZ reported at the time. Per the outlet, the rapper was seen wearing a wedding band on his ring finger around the time.

But in October 2023, Dailymail.com reported the pair actually legally married and cited documents that said the pair married in December 2022 in California.

The rapper has previously showed he's smitten with his Aussie wife.

West previously shared a public birthday message for his wife, writing: "Happy birthday to the most beautiful super bad fun iconic muse inspirational talented artist masters degree in architecture 140 IQ."

"Loving by my side everyday when half the world turned their backs on me and the most amazing step mom to our children I love you so much thank you for sharing your life with me."

Split rumours persist

Split rumours have plagued the couple for some time.

Late last year, TMZ alleged sources told them the pair had been telling people they had broken up.

In February this year, a representative for West and Censori told The Hollywood Reporter the pair were very much still together, saying: "Ye and Bianca are in Los Angeles, about to enjoy Valentine's Day together."

"Announcements about their private life will come from them directly, not unsourced rumor in the tabloid press.

"Is this the fifth or is it the sixth time the press has wrongly reported that Ye and Bianca are separating? I've lost track."

Just months ago, West seemingly confirmed he and wife Bianca Censori had split in his new song called BIANCA.

Lyrics include: "My baby she ran away... Until Bianca's back I stay up all night I'm not going to sleep / I really don't know where she's at."

"Bianca, I just want you to come back / Come back to me / I know what I did to make you mad."

But they are still believed to be together.

Causing controversy

Earlier this year, in February, Censori and West caused quite the stir when they made a red carpet appearance at the 2025 Grammy Awards.

The pair were posing for photographers in front of the media wall when Censori dropped her black coat to show off her sheer minidress.

After the display, there were rumours the pair got kicked out of the event, but they reportedly left chose to leave themselves.

Last year, her sister Angelina Censori told The Herald Sun about their family's bond with West.

"We all support him. We support his new album. We support his new clothes he's dropping," she said.

Bianca's family are still based in Australia and she recently visited them Down Under.

The visa issue

Immigration Minister Tony Burke said on ABC's Afternoon Briefing this week that West's Australian visa had been revoked, after he released the song Heil Hitler in May.

"He's been coming to Australia for a long time, he's got family here, and he's made a lot of offensive comments," Burke said.

"It wasn't a visa for the purpose of concerts.... It was a lower level and the officials still looked at the law and said you're going to have a song and promote that sort of Nazism, we don't need that in Australia."
