He's been an A-lister for years, so there's presumably not too many people who could leave him "star-struck".

But for Troy star Brad Pitt, 61, two female screen icons did just that.

Pitt, who was previously married to Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston, revealed in a new interview on Jason and Travis Kelce's New Heights podcast that Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis left him speechless.

Pitt starred with the pair in the 1991 film Thelma & Louise, and named the actresses after being asked who had left him "star-struck" over the years.

"When I first met Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon, I was [star-struck]," Pitt said of his Thelma & Louise co-stars.

He added with a laugh, "I got over it quickly, though."

The actor is now dating jewelry designer Ines de Ramon, 35, and they have made some red carpet appearances together recently, including at the movie's premieres.

One month ago, Pitt touched on his divorce with ex-wife Angelina Jolie and made some rare comments on its finalisation during an interview with GQ.

"Is there relief?" he was asked by the interviewer.

"No, I don't think it was that major of a thing. Just something coming to fruition. Legally," he replied.
