Magic Mike star Joe Manganiello announces his engagement after Sofía Vergara split

Joe Manganiello is engaged!

The American actor and Magic Mike star, 48, is engaged to partner Caitlin O'Connor.

He announced the news on Instagram underneath a picture of the pair and his little chihuahua as Caitlin showed off her ring.

He captioned the post revealing they actually got engaged a few months ago back in June and had been keeping the happy news under wraps.

"💍 June 24th, 2025 💍," he wrote.

The pair have reportedly been dating for almost two years.

TMZ first reported the news, reporting that the actor confirmed the engagement news during his speech at the San Diego Film Festival.

He was previously married to Modern Family actress Sofía Vergara, 53.

The pair married back in 2015.

Vergara has been candid and open about their split in the past.

In an interview with the Spanish newspaper El Pais, the Modern Family star admitted it was because of their differing opinions on having children.

Vergara, who welcomed her son at age 19, said she wasn't willing to have another child in her 50s, while she claimed Manganiello did want kids.

"My marriage broke up because my husband was younger; he wanted to have kids and I didn't want to be an old mum," the Colombian-born actress revealed.

"I feel it's not fair to the baby. I respect whoever does it, but that's not for me anymore."

Vergara said she was at the stage of life where she was ready to be a grandmother, not a mother again, as her son Manolo is now aged 32.

"So, if love comes along, he has to come with [his own] children," Vergara continued.
