Jennifer Aniston posts sweet birthday tribute for Courteney Cox

Jennifer Aniston has posted a sweet birthday tribute for her Friends co-star, Courteney Cox.

The actress took to Instagram to share a carousel of images of the pair, including some throwbacks, some more recent snaps, and even a video.

"Celebrating this powerful, magical, mystical, interesting, interested, ferociously talented girl today!!!" she began her caption.

"My sweet CC @courteneycoxofficial… she's funny like no other, STUNNING on the inside and out. Independent in the most gorgeous way, cares for everyone even if she doesn't know you."

Aniston went on to list a number of Cox's unique traits, including the fact that she's "terrified" of dogs despite having always having had at least two of them.

"Fiercely loyal to the end. She'll redecorate a room like nobody's business," The Morning Wars actress continued. "Spot a smudge on a window from a mile (literally) away. She doesn't care what other people think!! 👏🏼👏🏼

"I can't imagine a world without her. It's one of my great honors to call her one of my best friends for life… Happy happy birthday CC. I love you! ❤️"

Some of the sweet pictures included a selfie of the par with Cox's now 20-year-old daughter Coco Arquette, whom she shares with ex-husband David Arquette, when she was just a child.

A clip of the two from their iconic sitcom Friends was also included, as well as a screenshot of the pair blowing one another a kiss on Facetime, and a selfie with their friend Jennifer Meyer.

Followers took to the comment section to join Aniston in wishing Cox a happy birthday.

"Boyfriends and girlfriends are gonna come and go, BUT THIS IS FOR LIFE😍," wrote one user.

Another echoed the sentiment, saying, "Happy Birthday CC! What a special friendship! I love it! 💗💗"
