"I go in for a CAT scan to see if my new protocol is shrinking my tumour," he wrote on his website. "Turns out it's working beautifully. The thing has drastically shrunk."

Bridges' results came the same day as the US Capitol riots — which saw thousands of Trump supporters storm the Capitol, causing riots and violent attacks in Washington, D.C.

"I come home elated with the news," he continued. "I turn on the TV to find out what's going in the world and… well… I don't have to tell you what's goin' on. To see our country attacking itself broke my heart.

"A question rose in me — what's an individual to do in a situation like this? My mentor Rozzell Sykes came to mind. His mantra was BE LOVE."

The actor's news comes after he announced his Lymphoma diagnosis back in October.

"I have been diagnosed with lymphoma. Although it is a serious disease, I feel fortunate that I have a great team of doctors and the prognosis is good," Bridges tweeted at the time. "I'm starting treatment and will keep you posted on my recovery."

Soon after, he thanked his fans for "reaching out."

"This cancer thing is bringing on feelings of preciousness, and gratitude, and good old fashion love, and lots of it, big time," Bridges wrote via his website. "I'm feeling so much of it comin' my way, and man, I appreciate it. It's contagious, all this love, like some kind of positive virus.

"I want to acknowledge and thank you guys for reaching out during this time. It feels good, getting all the well wishes and love."

"Here's the latest," he captioned his post. "Feeling good. Shaved my head. Got a puppy — Monty. Had a Birthday — 71, man."

Though Bridges has not specified which kind of lymphoma he had been diagnosed with, there are two main types: Hodgkin's lymphoma and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Lymphoma treatment usually involves chemotherapy, various medications, radiation therapy and, in rare cases, can require a stem cell transplant.
