After 12 years of marriage, Jaime King has filed for divorce and is requested a restraining order against her husband Kyle Newman.
According to reports and court records, the Black Summer actress, 41, filed for divorce and a domestic violence prevention petition on Monday, May 18 (US time) in Los Angeles.

It is unclear whether her request has been granted nor what led to the divorce filing.
In 2005, the two met on the set of the film Fanboys, which Newman directed, then married in 2007 in Los Angeles.
Newman and King have reportedly been quarantining separately amid the coronavirus pandemic, with Jaime in California and Kyle in Pennsylvania with their children, according to Life & Style. The pair are "taking some time apart to focus on themselves," an insider told the publication.
"He's been staying with his family for months and is leaning on them for support," the insider added.

Newman and King have been through some difficult experiences together as parents. In April 2019, King opened up to People Now about her son Leo's heart condition, "a very serious heart defect," while she was 33 weeks pregnant.
"When you have a voice, you need to use your voice in a responsible way," she said, adding that Leo had undergone heart surgery at just 20 weeks old. "I look at my child now, and he's so strong and amazing and vibrant, but when you're breastfeeding a baby with 67 lines in them, it's just a totally different experience."
