It's over! Jason Derulo and Jordin Sparks split

Music power couple Jordin Sparks and Jason Derulo have officially called it quits. Noooo!

According to E! News, social media's soppiest lovers have split after three years… with pals confirming the breakup was a mutual one.

Sources said that the pair "still care deeply for one other and will remain in each other's lives as friends". OUCH… that's the best friend-zoning we've ever seen.

We've got to admit, we're feeling a little betrayed by the breakup… more so because we invested so much in Jason's shirtless homage to Jordin in 'Marry Me' (see the mushy vid above).

Last year, 25-year-old Jason revealed that the TMI love tune was about giving Sparks a sparkler. Was it all a lie Jason, WAS IT?!

We definitely thought this celeb couple were going to last, especially since surviving the trauma of matchy-matchy dressing at the 2014 MTV Music Awards earlier this month. Revisit that torture below, FIXers.

The 'Talk Dirty' star started talking dirty to his now former GF in 2012, despite reports suggesting the pair secretly hooked up twelve months before.
