In one move, influencer accidently removes 38,000 Instagram followers

Australian social media star Indy Clinton has shared how she "accidentally" removed 38,000 Instagram followers.

The mother of three revealed her mistake in her Instagram Story, explaining it happened with the click of a button.

"I accidentally just removed 38,000 followers because Instagram told me they were flagged for review," she wrote atop a photo of herself looking down at the camera, covering her mouth.

The influencer boasts over 600,000 Instagram followers and an additional 1.9 million TikTok followers who enjoy her viral content. 

Clinton says Instagram allowed her to "remove all" of the reviewed accounts, which she accidentally selected before realising its consequences.

"[Instagram] didn't tell me how many there were until I clicked the button," she shared to clarify that she was unaware of how many followers would be lost. 

Clinton posts content about her life as a mother of three young children living in Sydney's Northern Beaches with her husband, Ben Azar; they share a son, Navy, and daughters, Soul and Bambi. 

The content creator was 13 when she first downloaded Facebook; by 16, she was famous on Instagram. 

By the time she had children, she felt that other "mummy bloggers" didn't show the reality of parenting.

Clinton told The Sydney Morning Herald: "I was like, 'This is not reality. I just want to show reality.'"

"I wanted to show this is what parenthood is like: it's messy and it's chaotic. Some days you'll hate your kids, but you'll also love them, and it is the most rewarding - and unrewarding - job there is."

As for who enjoys her content, she says, "The younger audience loves my kids."

"Then I've got the mums who can relate to me. And I've got the grandmas who've got daughters my age. I kind of hit every age bracket for different reasons," Clinton adds.

"I've also got really young ones, like the eight-year-olds and 10-year-olds, because they love the kids. They love that Navy is crazy."
