Ice Cube says Straight Outta Compton fame has gone to his son's head: 'But you need swagger to be a star'

A rising star was born with Straight Outta Compton as O'Shea Jackson Jr received critical acclaim for playing his dad Ice Cube's younger self in the rap biopic.

And with that newfound celebrity status comes ladies, money, red carpets…and probably a swollen ego. So how did Ice Cube prepare his son for the possible pitfalls of fame?

In an interview with TheFIX, the 46-year-old insists that while success has gone to his son's head, that confidence is only going to work in the 24-year-old's favour in Hollywood.

In the interview to promote the upcoming sequel to 2014's Ride Along, the actor also speaks about accidentally punching a stuntman during filming and his plans to work on a future project with his son.
