All eyes might have been on Blake Lively alongside Taylor Swift at the Super Bowl on Monday but it was her husband, Ryan Reynolds who truly broke the internet.

The actor debuted the first look at his new movie, Deadpool & Wolverine in which he reprises his non-PC superhero role alongside Australian actor Hugh Jackman – during the massive American football match.

The teaser trailer was released online after the game and went on to become the most viewed movie trailer of all time.

"Has everyone seen the #Deadpool trailer? Also has anyone seen my wife?" the 47-year-old asked, making jokes about the Gossip Girl star being shown repeatedly on TV in Swift's VIP box.

He then shared a close-up photo of Lively's jewellery at the game, showing she was wearing a bracelet with the "best friend" charms used in the Deadpool & Wolverine movie poster.

"Found my wife," he wrote.
