Hilary Duff tests positive for coronavirus, shares searing message to virus

Hilary Duff has shared a candid, searing statement for coronavirus, after testing positive to the Delta strain.

The Younger star broke the news after sharing a selfie while lying in bed on her Instagram Stories.

"That Delta… she's a little bitch," Duff wrote in the caption.

The former Lizzie McGuire actress confirmed she was suffering from symptoms of the virus, but was grateful to be vaccinated.

Duff wrote she had a "bad headache… no taste or smell… sinus pressure… [and] a brain fog," yet was "happy to be vaxxed."

The actress appears to be confined to her room, and shared a number of updates including an image of her looking unwell with the caption "it over yet…"

The star's diagnosis comes days after she began filming the How I Met Your Mother spin-off sequel, How I Met Your Father.

"Who's ready for us," she wrote in an Instagram post.

"We may or may not have been sitting in front of a certain someone's apartment…"

Last year, while pregnant, the star was forced to isolate after coming into close contact with a coronavirus case.

"Exposed to COVID. Quarantine day 2. FML," she posted to her Instagram Stories at the time.

The actress welcomed her second daughter Mae James Bair with husband Matthew Koma.

This is her second child with the musician.

Duff is also mum to two-year-old daughter Banks and eight-year-old son Luca from a previous relationship.
