Hilaria Baldwin reveals daughter's heartbreaking comment about Rust tragedy
Hilaria Baldwin has revealed the heartbreaking comment her nine-year-old daughter Carmen made about the Rust tragedy involving her father.
In an interview with Extra, the mother-of-seven recalled how she and her husband Alec Baldwin explained to their children the actor had been involved in the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins after accidentally firing a prop gun.
"When [we told the children], Carmen started saying to me, 'Why are you telling me this?'. 'I want to un-know this.' She used the word un-know'," a teary Hilaria said.

"Alec said, 'I want to un-know it, too'. I think everybody wants to un-know it, and we can't because it's real," she added.
Earlier in the interview, Hilaria said telling their children about the tragedy was one of the hardest things the pair had to do as parents.
"There is no way that you can explain this because it is awful. It's awful," she said.
"I thought I was going to do this without Alec and he said, 'No, I can't be a coward. I have to be there'."
The pair are parents to Carmen, nine, Rafael, seven, Leonardo, six, Romeo, four, Eduardo, two, Maria, one and their newborn daughter Ilaria.

Hilaria, who is a yoga instructor, explained that her husband wants to push on with the project and finish the film because the tragedy is so inescapable.
"We can go forward and talk about gun safety on sets, and try to figure out how this crazy thing happened, and we can go forward and honour Halyna," she said.
"We can remember her, continuing her legacy for her, for her family and we can take care of everybody who's still here, who is extraordinarily damaged by this awful tragedy. That's all that we can do, but we can't un-know it."

Hilaria also admitted the event has shaken her husband, and that she is constantly worrying about him.
"When you go through something hard, you know not every day is going to be the same," she said.
"You have moments in the day that are very hard. Nights are hard, nightmares are hard. So I'm just there, and I say, 'I'm here and I'm going to take care of you,' and I said that from the moment we realised what had happened."
