Hilaria Baldwin reveals husband Alec 'shushed' her while she was in labour with son Rafael

Hilaria Baldwin has offered fans a fascinating insight into her marriage to husband Alec, revealing he "shushed" her as she gave birth to their son Rafa.

The yoga instructor, 37, made the shock revelation in an Instagram story responding to a headline which read: "When my husband told me to shush during labour I knew our marriage was over".

Hilaria told followers she went through a similar experience with her Hollywood star husband — before confessing Alec "cowered" in shame after realising what he'd done.

"Alec shushed me while I was in labour with Rafa…" Hilaria wrote. "He was on the phone "Shush! Can you keep it down?'"

"The moment he said it, he realized he sounded like an a— and he cowered" she added.

"Kept the marriage. Went on to have 522 babies after, I permit him in after I get the epidural."

"I'll spare you the details of my reaction for now. But it never happened again."

Hilaria and Alec, 63, are parents to six children: Carmen, eight, Rafael, six, Leonardo, five, Romeo, three, Eduardo, one, and nine-month-old Lucia.

The mother-of-six went on to joke about the birthing suite incident in a promotional Instagram post for newborn bottle brushes, writing "Alec pays me for shushing me in labour by cleaning every bottle in the house".

"Just kidding.. That never happens," she added. "Perhaps he can start now. Also not joking: Alec, roll up those sleeves and get ready to scrub in style."

Despite her teasing, Hilaria recently opened up about the serious issue of PTSD after revealing her husband is suffering stress following the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of Rust.

Hilaria said Alec had PTSD "not from what just happened recently, but he's been suffering from this for a very, very, very long time".

"I'm at a place where I'm tired of not talking, and I want to get to a place where I can use my voice to show you that this is not just a famous thing," Hilaria said.

"Everybody has trolls. Everybody has people who want to tell you whether you're good or bad or what you think or what you feel."

In an interview earlier this month, Alec claimed he "didn't pull the trigger" on the gun which killed Hutchins and injured director Joel Souza on October 21.

"I would never point a gun at anyone and pull the trigger at them — never," the actor said.

"Someone is responsible for what happened, and I can't say who that is, but it's not me. Honest to God, if I felt I was responsible, I might have killed myself... there's only one question to be resolved, and that's where did the live round come from?"
