Hailey Bieber appears to shut down 'false' rivalry with Selena Gomez
Hailey Bieber (formerly Hailey Baldwin) appears to have shut down speculation that she's at war with Selena Gomez.
The women have been embroiled in a seemingly fake narrative that they're rivals after Hailey Bieber reunited with her now-husband Justin Bieber in 2018. Hailey had gotten back together with Justin soon after Justin and Gomez had put an end to their longtime relationship.
Hailey — who got married to Justin on September 30 in South Carolina — recently labelled any talk of any feud as "toxic" and "false" in an interview with British Vogue on December 4.

"I think social media is a breeding ground for toxicity and people creating false drama between women and trying to put women up against each other and create these narratives that are just... toxic," Hailey told the publication in a story that was published this week. "I think that has to change and that has to stop."
When Gomez released her breakup ballad, 'Lose You To Love Me', — believed to be about her ex — fans noticed that Hailey immediately posted to her Instagram Stories a song she said she loved called 'I'll Kill You' by Summer Walker.

At the time, Hailey dismissed any speculation that her post had anything to do with the release of Gomez's new track.
Hailey commented on Just Jared's Instagram post about the alleged dig, in which she wrote, according to a screenshot shared by the website, "Please stop with this nonsense... there is no 'response.' this is complete BS."

Hailey proceeded to insist that women need to stand by one another and make an effort to put an end to fabricated drama.
"I think there needs to be more people with platforms coming together and saying to each other, 'Let's kill the conversation, let's kill the fake drama, let's squash all these things, let's move on from stuff. Let's not give people a reason to fuel fire and create drama and being rude to each other,'" Hailey told Vogue.
