Hailey Bieber opens up about marrying Justin Bieber 'insanely young'

Hailey Baldwin has opened up about getting married to pop star Justin Bieber "insanely young".

The 24-year-old model, who is on the cover of Elle's April issue, shared her reasons for wanting to tie the knot in her early 20s.

"I mean, I was married when I was 21, two months before I turned 22, which is insanely young," she told the outlet.

"And sounds almost ridiculous when you say it out loud. Although I do think for somebody like me and somebody like Justin, [it's not the same]. We've seen a lot for our age. We have both lived enough life to know that's what we wanted."

Baldwin and Bieber got married in September 2018 in a New York courthouse. They hosted a bigger ceremony in the Bahamas with celebrity friends the following year.

"I learn new things about him and about myself and about our relationship all the time," Baldwin said of Bieber.

She admitted they often "have little fights and stuff that we have to work through sometimes it really doesn't ever feel like work, because I love him so much. I see forever with him."

Baldwin is well aware "any relationship can fail", and that being in the limelight adds pressure.

"I think the two of us are grounded by our faith," she said. "I'm not saying it's this easy-peasy thing that doesn't take work. We talk to a therapist. We do what we have to do."
