Rose Byrne wins her first Golden Globe - and reveals hilarious reason Bobby Cannavale missed the big moment
Aussie actress Rose Byrne has won big at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards.
The 46-year-old emerged victorious, taking home the award for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy for her role in If I Had Legs I'd Kick You.
The Bridesmaids actress wore a stunning green gown as she got up on stage to accept her award.

"We shot this movie in 25 days for, like, $8.50. Thank you so much. This is a tiny film, so this is a huge thing to be up here," she tearfully told the audience.
Byrne revealed she attended the awards with her brother George, thanking him for being there.
She also thanked her parents for buying a Paramount Plus subscription so they could watch from home in Sydney.

As for her husband Bobby Cannavale, Byrne revealed the reason for his absence.
"I want to thank my husband, Bobby Cannavale, who couldn't be here because he's getting a bearded dragon and he went to a reptile expo in New Jersey," Byrne laughed.
The actors share two children – Rocco, born in 2016, and Rafa, born in 2017.
If I Had Legs I'd Kick You is a psychological comedy-drama centered on a woman on the edge of a breakdown about her life and career, who also has to deal with her daughter's mysterious illness, her absent husband, a missing person and an increasingly hostile relationship with her therapist.
Byrne is a highly acclaimed actress, with many awards and nominations to her name.
