Gisele Bündchen says she regrets secretly having a boob job after breastfeeding her children

For the first time, Gisele Bündchen has revealed that she secretly underwent a breast augmentation after breastfeeding her two children and the biggest regret she had from the experience.

The 38-year-old supermodel chatted to People about the difficult decision. The former Victoria's Secret model shares son Benjamin and daughter Vivian with her husband, American football quarterback Tom Brady, and she chose to breastfeed both her children for more than 18 months each. The Brazilian beauty explained that it took a great toll on her body, leaving her chest smaller and slightly uneven.

"I was always praised for my body, and I felt like people had expectations from me that I couldn't deliver," Bündchen revealed. "I felt very vulnerable, because I can work out, I can eat healthy, but I can't change the fact that both of my kids enjoyed the left boob more than the right. All I wanted was for them to be even and for people to stop commenting on it."

But when she had the operation, she immediately felt regret, which she addresses in her forthcoming memoir, Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life.

"When I woke up, I was like, 'What have I done?' I felt like I was living in a body I didn't recognise," she writes, according to an excerpt published by People. "For the first year I wore [baggy] clothes because I felt uncomfortable."

But her husband's support helped her to learn an even greater truth.

"He just said, 'I love you no matter what' and that I looked beautiful," she said.

"This was definitely another lesson: What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. But I wish I would have learned that a different way."
