Heather Maltman gets I'm a Celebrity hosting job…but she doesn't know there are elephants in Africa

The Bachelor's Heather Maltman has landed a new TV gig, but she might need a refresher science course before she reports to work.

Last season's third runner-up will co-host a new I'm a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! sister show with comedian Joel Creasey. The title: I'm a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! Now. Original.

Heather, 29, and Joel, 25, tested their on-camera chemistry in the video above, and she revealed that she might not be so prepared for life in wilds of South Africa. "They have elephants there?" she asked.

Erm, yeah. Lions, rhinos and hippos, too. Oh, and beware of the creepy-crawlies.

Heather recently spoke to the Sydney Morning Herald about her new job, for which she and Joel auditioned together.

"We watched some footage from last season, did some banter about it," she said. "It was very fluid, very easy and then we realised we had some beautiful sexual tension between the two of us and that was kind of it."

The next season of I'm a Celebrity will launch in 2016, with Now following the main show.
