The Facts of Life actress Mindy Cohn has claimed that a 'greedy' costar sabotaged a potential reboot of the popular '80s sitcom.

Speaking in an interview on SiriusXM's Jeff Lewis Live show, the actress, who has recently found success on the popular television drama Palm Royale, said that plans to revive the series were thwarted after "drama" ensued among the costars.

The revelation came up when the actress explained that the show was recently revived for a live recreation on Norman Lear and Jimmy Kimmel's Live in Front of a Studio Audience series which aired in December 2021.

"They did one of Diff'rent Strokes and Facts of Life and after that, Norman Lear, who is no longer with us, when he was still alive, he called all of us and said, 'I knew you guys were still popular, but holy hell. The response from the live,'" Cohn recalled.

"And basically there was this roundtable with Octavia Spencer and Amy Poehler and Jennifer Aniston where they all said, 'Yeah, our parents grew up with All in the Family, but we grew up with Facts of Life. That's the Norman Lear sitcom that we love.

"And I think Norman didn't really clock that. So when he did, he said, 'Are you guys interested?' And we had all never really talked about it, but we all started to consider it a little bit."

After the success of the special, the cast began "talks" on Zoom about rebooting the series, per Cohn, but shortly after the planning fell apart.

"What happened was not cute, there was drama," Cohn explained.

She claimed that "one of the girls went behind [their] backs and tried to make a separate deal for a spin-off just for herself" leaving the rest of the cast members "devastated".

"I'm just saying it was for a 40-year friendship and sisterhood, there was a tidal wave of emotion around it," she continued.

In response one of the hosts Michael Hitchcock quipped: "There's always a greedy b---".

Cohn agreed: "She was a greedy b---, I'll say it."

Cohn declined to divulge who it was that caused the apparent riff but continued to explain that it had left the plans for a potential reboot in the dust.

"[The reboot is] dead, it's very dead," she said.

"It shocks me. It always just kind of shocks me. You're gonna do that over money, or that over becoming famous?" she concluded.

"It always just kind of freaks me out that people will do that. Throw friendships, deep true friendships, under the bus for a dollar."
