The 'Sex and the City' fan page that's now more famous (and relevant) than the show

Sex and The City has been beloved by many since it first aired in 1998, but watching it back two decades later, it's pretty obvious how problematic some of the storylines are, especially in reference to women and gender norms. 

That's exactly what SATC fangirls Lauren Garroni and Chelsea Fairless thought, so they created their own version of iconic character Charlotte York Goldenblatt, known by the internet as #WokeCharlotte. 

Through their Instagram fan account @EveryOutfitOnSATC, the women re-appropriate scenes from the show, creating new dialogue for Charlotte that's in line with today's social standards, and even fiercer than "I curse the day you were born". 

If you're a SATC fan (who isn't?) and not familiar with the Instagram account, get across it. It's become wildly popular all over the world, with cast members from the show following and regularly commenting alongside over half a million others. 

Charlotte herself (aka Kristin Davis) is a self-proclaimed fan of the page, claiming on Instagram "I love #wokecharlotte more than life itself."

She also couldn't hold back her love at their most recent #WokeCharlotte post. 

Aside from #WokeCharlotte's witty clap backs, Every Outfit on SATC offers general commentary on current events, such as Samantha's opinion of the Kavanaugh trial.

They also championed Cynthia Nixon's recent political campaign to become the Governor of New York.

As the name suggests, the page is also on quest to document every outfit on Sex and the City, with one exception… they can't stand Aiden, aka "Manic Pixie Artisian Boy". 

Carrie's ex-fiance, played by John Corbett, cops a roasting for his "awful" behaviour on the show, such as forbidding Carrie to smoke and being emotionally abusive. 

"WE DON'T F--- WITH AIDAN," the account stated, citing his many "red flags", with conflicting responses.

Aussie fans, you're in luck. Every Outfit on SATC is heading down under in January, with a special screening of the first Sex and The City movie in Sydney, featuring delicious cosmos and expert commentary.
