Ed Sheeran as good as confirms Australia and New Zealand tour, fans promptly lose it

Looks like we can expect Ed Sheeran on our shores very soon, if his latest Facebook post is anything to go by! 

The 26-year-old Brit singer-songwriter dropped a not-so-cryptic hint of an Australian and New Zealand tour on Sunday night, sending fans into a complete meltdown. 

The post showed a visual of his new 'Divide' album cover, together with two small animal outlines: a kangaroo and a kiwi. 

He accompanied the photo with a message simply saying: "News soon x".

With more than 2,000 shares, and thousands of comments, people are obviously extremely excited for Ed's return. 

The confirmation comes just days after his promoter, Frontier Touring, updated their Twitter and Facebook profile photos with an image that loyal fans identified as a very Ed Sheeran-like shade of blue.

The British songwriter was previously in Australia for a series of promotional gigs in February. Let's hope his tour tickets cause less drama than his mate Harry Styles' -- the former One Direction singer sold out all of his worldwide tour dates in a record mere seconds this weekend.
