DJ Khaled Snapchats the birth of his son live from the delivery room
Earlier this year, self-proclaimed King of Snapchat DJ Khaled promised he would broadcast the impending birth of his firstborn with fiancée Nicole Tuck to the world on the app.
"The key is that I'm the king and every queen should support the king," the music mogul told Jimmy Kimmel in June. "I'mma talk to the doctor and if he says everything is going to run smooth, meaning that the queen is right and my son is right, if it's running smooth…I can just do my thing."
And do his thing, he did. The 40-year-old, er, delivered on his promise by sharing a series of videos – from contractions to actual birth – on his Snapchat October 23.
"Bless up fan luv the dr. said my queens water Broke [sic]," he posted on Instagram. "It's go time! All praise to the most high."
Adding an extra layer of branding to the ordeal: Khaled blasted his Major Key album in the delivery room.
In the end, Khaled and Nicole welcomed a healthy, crying son. Khaled has, shockingly, refrained from revealing his name or face to the world yet.
Congrats to the new parents!
