Desperate Housewives co-stars announce they're expecting a child together

There's a new baby coming to Wisteria Lane, as two Desperate Housewives stars have announced that they are expecting a child together.

Andrea Bowen, who played Julie Mayers, and Josh Zuckerman, who played Eddie Orlofsky, made the announcement in an Instagram post.

The actors got married in 2024, but they met much earlier than that, on the set of Desperate Housewives

"Josh and my best collab yet - a little girl arriving later this year! We are bursting with happiness," the post by Bowen reads.

The photo shows Bowen sitting in a doctor's office with a sonogram visible in the frame.

Teri Hatcher, who plays Susan Mayers, the on-screen mother of Julie, commented on the post.

"Bursting with happiness for you both too! Sending you so much love," the comment read.

She also took to her story to congratulate the couple.

"Omg... Susan is going to be a grandma! & teri is a very good babysitter. Congrats you two, tons of love."

Bowen played Julie Mayers for eight seasons of Desperate Housewives, which first went to air in 2004 and ran until 2012.

Josh Zuckerman joined the cast in the later seasons as Eddie Orlofsky, a local neighbourhood kid with a troubled personality.

In season six of the show, Eddie is the main antagonist and is later revealed as the Fairview Strangler.

His character tries to kill Julie, thinking it was Susan, but Julie survives the attack.

Since the show, both Bowen and Zuckerman have gone on to pursue other acting projects.
