Dennis Quaid says his 39-year age gap relationship is the 'closest' he's ever had
Despite being decades apart in age, Dennis Quaid says he has never been closer with anyone than he is with his wife Laura Savoie.
The Parent Trap star, 71, recently opened up about his marriage to Lauren Savoie, 32, in conversation with Fox News Digital revealing that it is "paradise".
"Every day is paradise with her. It really is," the actor told the publication.

The couple first met in 2019 and eloped in 2020 and five years on, Quaid seems to be just as smitten.
"It's the closest relationship I've ever had with anybody," he continued.
"Every day is paradise. What can I tell you? I don't know why God waited so long to bring her, for her to come along, but [I'm] really glad he brought her into my life, or I walked into hers."

While there is a significant age difference between the pair, Quaid says it's something he doesn't think about.
"I haven't spoken about the age difference of my wife," Quaid said in conversation with Fox News Digital last year.
"Other people have. But... I don't really think about it," he continued, adding, "She's just, she's just the light of my life".

The couple first met at a business conference in 2019 after being introduced by a mutual friend which Quaid later told People was "love at first sight".
At the time, Savoie was working toward her second master's degree at the Texas McCombs School of Business, having already had experience as a certified public accountant and holding a real estate license.
The pair were originally due to marry in Hawaii in 2020 with a reception planned for a later date in Nashville but the COVID-19 pandemic derailed their plans.
Instead, the duo decided to elope at a seaside resort in Santa Barbara in June 2020. Their pastor was reportedly the only witness present.
"It was beautiful," Quaid told People of the wedding at the time.
"Just looking into her eyes, she was the most stunning bride."

The couple have even gone into business together, founding their production company Bonniedale Films in 2021.
Savoie is Quaid's fourth wife, with the actor having been married to P.J. Soles, Meg Ryan and Kimberly Buffington in the past.
From his relationship with actress Meg Ryan he has son Jack, 31. He also shares twins Thomas and Zoe, 16 with Kimberly Buffington.
