Dave Hughes has hilariously recreated a memorable moment for his son Rafferty's birthday.

On Wednesday, Hughes, 50, shared a throwback of him cradling Rafferty as a newborn in 2009. In the next slide, the radio host re-enacted the same position in celebration of his son's 11th birthday.

"Then and now. The times we've had. My best little man not so little anymore but still loves cuddles and laughs. Happy 11th birthday Raff," Hughesy captioned the snap.

Hughes shares Rafferty, 11, Sadie, nine, and Tess Clementine, seven, with his wife Holly Hughes, 41. The pair got married in 2006 at Flemington racecourse after meeting in a bar four years prior.

The radio veteran and TV star previously commented on the many times people have teased him for marrying a woman 'out of his league'.

"It's just been coming for a long time," Hughes told news.com.au in December 2018. "I'm just saying, if you do the 'batting above your average' joke, you're not exactly the first, OK? So just remember that, Australia. It's been done before!"

He opened up about the comments he's used to seeing on social media about his wife.

"Generally I get, 'You're batting above your average', or 'You're punching out of your weight division', or 'Wow, you must have a lot of money!'" he revealed. "If I put up a photo of the two of us people say, 'Why didn't you include the guide dog in the photo.'"

Hughes hasn't ruled out expanding his family in an interview with TV Week in January.

"They have a pretty good sense of humour and they get the jokes — but they're not easily impressed," Hughes told the outlet on January 20.

The comedian joked that he wouldn't mind a fourth child, "because they're good for material, but my wife says that's not a good enough reason".
