Cristiano Ronaldo shares heartbreaking picture with his late son: 'Forever love'

Cristiano Ronaldo has made a touching tribute to his late baby son.

On Saturday, Ronaldo took to Instagram to remember his son just two weeks after his tragic passing.

The Manchester United player, 37, shared a heartbreaking picture of himself holding his son in his arms alongside the emotional caption, "Forever Love…❤️🙏🏽."

On April 18, Georgina Rodriguez and Ronaldo announced the passing of one of their twins, revealing their son had tragically died just a few days later.

"It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away," he wrote via Instagram. "It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel."

"Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness," Ronaldo continued.

"We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all their expert care and support."

"We are all devastated at this loss," the post added, "and we kindly ask for privacy at this very difficult time."

"Our baby boy, you are our angel. We will always love you."

Ronaldo has since shared a photo of his daughter, alongside his family, after they took her home from hospital.

"Home sweet home. Gio and our baby girl are finally together with us. We want to thank everyone for all the kind words and gestures," he wrote.

"Your support is very important and we all felt the love and respect that you have for our family. Now it's time to be grateful for the life that we've just welcomed into this world."

Ronaldo posed alongside Rodriguez, his son Cristiano Jr, 11, twins Eva and Mateo, four, Alana, also four, and his unnamed newborn daughter.

Alana was Ronaldo's first child with his partner Georgina, before the couple announced they were welcoming twins in October 2021.

The Portuguese-born footballer has yet to publicly confirm his newborn girl's name.
