Courtney Love 'disgusted' over upcoming Pamela Anderson series that chronicles sex tape which 'destroyed' Baywatch star

Courtney Love is voicing her "disgust" over the soon-to-be-released miniseries, Pammy & Tommy, that chronicles the love life of Pamela Anderson and her then-husband Tommy Lee.

Love, who is good friends with the actress, has slammed the upcoming Hulu series, which takes an in-depth look at how the couple's sex tape — filmed during their honeymoon — was leaked online in 1995.

In a scathing Facebook post, the former Hole lead singer vividly recalled being with her former bandmates, Patty Schemel and Melissa Auf der Maur, when the 54-minute video was released and how the aftermath "destroyed" Anderson's life. 

"I find this so f---ing outrageous," Love began in her post. "When Pam / tommy sex tape was out / myself @pattyschemel @xmadmx were making a record. And the lone women in many recording studios in la . Where all / ALL! The staff engineers / producers / owners / were watching the sex tape with huge schadenfraude .  . Guffaws , It was disgusting . I banned anyone discussing it."

With her post, Love shared a photo of an article showing side-by-side images of Anderson and actress Lily James, who will play the Baywatch star in her series.

Love explained she was recently approached by the unnamed publication to use an image of her from a previous Rolling Stone issue, of which she declined because she did not want her name attached to the project in any way.

"It destroyed my friend Pamelas life . Utterly," Love wrote. "Last week I was asked to approve using a rolling stone cover of mine / shot by mark seliger in this piece of s--t . That they had approved . I said 'f--k no.' shocked. Gentleman don't approve this sort of thing."

The rocker also threw some shade at British actress James, 32, who will star opposite Sebastian Stan, 38, as he takes on the role of the Mötley Crüe drummer. 

"My heart goes out to Pammy further causing her complex trauma," Love wrote, before adding, "And shame on lily James whoever the f--k she is . #vile."

Last week, a friend of Anderson's spoke out about the actress' apparent thoughts on the series, which follows the four-days leading up to her quickie 1995 wedding to Lee in Cancun, Mexico. The couple married just 96 hours after meeting each other and shot their sex tape during their honeymoon. 

"Pamela has no intention of watching this God awful show, absolutely not. Never," the friend told The Sun.

"She's never heard of the actors playing her or Tommy, and doesn't care to know them. She and her family think the show is a cheap knockoff. The whole thing is a joke to them."

The eight-part series will allege the tape was stolen during this time by bitter porn star, Rand Gauthier, who then attempted to sell it for distribution before thousands of illegal copies were sold all around the world. Seth Rogen will produce and star as Gauthier in the series.
