Chris Hemsworth hits back at Ryan Reynolds after actor instructed his mum to trash-talk the Aussie on Twitter

It's game on between Chris Hemsworth and Ryan Reynolds.

The Aussie actor has hit back after the Deadpool star got his mother, Tammy, to hilariously trash-talk the Aussie in a Twitter video, saying, "Hemsworth is everyone's least-favourite Australian" and he was a "no-good a--hat who looks like a bodybuilder f--ked a platypus". 

Well, two can play that trolling game as the 37-year-old playfully demonstrated on Instagram.

"Hey, Ryan Reynolds. What's up, man? I saw you got your mum to trash-talk me and say some horrible things about me, so I've got my 'dad' here to say a few things about you," he began in the clip.

FYI, it was not his 'dad' in the video, but rather his costume designer Dan Blacklock, who he was hanging out with during a break on the set of the upcoming Netflix movie Spiderhead. And it seemed Blacklock didn't want to play along, much to Hemsworth's dismay.

"I'm not your dad. [Ryan] is a top man," the costume designer clarified, to which Hemsworth said, 'He's not a top man! We talked about this before. Tell them all the stuff we discussed: you hate him, he's a d--khead, the worst actor, your least favourite Canadian in the whole world.

"You said you hate [Reynold's company] Aviation Gin, it's disgusting. And Green Lantern, what did you say about that? It's not the best movie ever. Even if you liked him, it's not."

In Reynolds' clip posted to Twitter on Monday, the 44-year-old said he would never bad-mouth anyone because "disparaging others isn't what heroes do". So instead he enlisted his mother to do his dirty work.

"He has asked me to read something about a friend of his. Normally, I would not talk to my friends like this, but he insisted," Tammy said in the minute-long video. "Chris Hemsworth is everyone's least-favourite Australian. And as a reminder, Hugh Jackman still exists... I am so sorry for my son, Ryan. It's my fault. I brought him up wrong." 

Of course, both videos were filmed in jest. The actors are both currently competing in the AGBO Superhero League fantasy football battle to raise money for charity. And while everyone knows there may be no crying in baseball, there's certainly a little trash-talking in football.
