Pop star Chappell Roan calls out VIP crowd for not doing her viral dance: 'So weird'
Chappell Roan shot to superstardom with a series of hit tracks and a bold stage persona.
Hot to Go! became one of the star's most popular tracks – partly due to the fun dance Roan created for fans to do each time she plays the song.
The viral dance basically gets everyone to spell out the words 'hot to go' with their arms.
It's become a crowd and social media favourite, which is probably why Roan scolded a group of concertgoers at her recent show for not participating.

Roan celebrated one year of her popular track at the Outside Lands Music Festival in San Francisco by performing Hot To Go! in the exact same blue and gold leotard she wore for the song's music video.
But while explaining how to do her viral dance to the crowd which she introduced to fans in the original music video, the VIP section caught Roan's attention for the wrong reason.

"It's so weird that VIP thinks they're so way too cool to do this!" Roan said in a fan-captured video posted to TikTok.
The singer's call-out was met with an eruption of cheers from the rest of the crowd before she kicked off with a performance of Hot To Go!.
"You're not fun!" she said. "Be fun and try!"
"Do it or I'm calling you on stage," she threatened the crowd members.
Roan released Hot To Go! as a single on her 2023 album The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, which features her other hits Babe, Femininomenon and Red Wine Supernova.

After the song came out, the pop star shared a video to TikTok of her coming up with the iconic dance with producer Dan Nigro, who famously works with Olivia Rodrigo.
"We wrote it right before i went on tour cuz i desperately wanted a song and dance i could teach to the crowd and i think we def accomplished that," she captioned the clip.
While Roan might seem like an overnight success following her latest hit record, the star has been on the music scene for a decade and even toured with Rodrigo in 2022.
