British supermodel Cara Delevingne has hit out at the fashion industry on Twitter after UK Vogue magazine published a piece containing allegations about her behaviour during an interview.
Writer Plum Sykes claimed the 21-year-old model arrived late to their interview with the excuse she had "overslept", explaining: "I always wake up ten minutes before I have to be anywhere".
Cara asked the writer if they could have massages before the interview, then go to a farm later in the day. The writer waited an hour, until a masseuse came out to say Cara had fallen asleep... so plans for the farm visit fell through.
Eventually, Cara emerged saying "I'm so sorry!!!" with the excuse, "I fall asleep everywhere! Someone recently asked if they could publish a book of pictures of me sleeping, because there are so many."
Sykes called one of Cara's regular photographers Tim Walker, who attested that Cara falls asleep on "every shoot", even sleeping for "seven hours on one Mulberry shoot". Yikes!
Cara took to Twitter just hours ago to respond to the piece, accusing Sykes of "lying" and claiming her lack of sleep is because she "works too hard" sometimes and is "too ambitious".
Cara also posted a quote from friend, DJ Chelsea Leyland, on her Instagram.
"What happened to supporting each other?" Cara added, with a screen shot of her latest tweets.
The Victoria's Secret beauty has been on holiday in Bali the past few days.
