Brynne Edelsten suffers less for beauty post-Geoffrey: 'I ditched botox and fillers'

A lot has changed for Brynne Edelsten since she went from being the wife of a multi-millionaire to a single socialite, and not just her relationship status.

Since splitting with Geoffrey Edeslsten in 2014, the 33-year-old has downsized, swapping her and her ex's flamboyant penthouse for a modest Melbourne apartment, where she lives alone with her dog Juddy.

Though some of her biggest recent changes have been physical, she tells New Idea that dropping 15kg was a work already in progress when she and Geoffrey parted ways.

"It's funny because everyone acts like this weight loss has happened overnight, but you know what? It's taken me three to three-and-a-half years to get down to a size 6-8 from a size 12," she said.

"I train at the gym three times a week. I walk everywhere, and I've given up sugary drinks."

She's also ditched cosmetic beauty treatments.

"I used to do botox and fillers the whole time I was with Geoff," she added. "I used to get my lips done as well…To be honest, I haven't done any of it since Geoff and I split up. I have no time for it!"

These days, Brynne is too busy working, with various brand ambassador roles and an upcoming appearance in Clubland, a new TV series about Melbourne's nightlife.

"She has to work," says manager Rob Menzies. "We were offered big bucks – in the hundreds of thousands of dollars – for her to do a certain show, facing off against Gabi," he said of 72-year-old Geoff's third estranged wife and Brynne's public nemesis Gabi Grecko, 26.

"Nothing but bad could come of that!" Rob explained. "Brynne does need money, but really, you have to draw the line somewhere. She's not that kind of person."

The "definitely single" American expat says while she would like to find love, she's too busy for men. After her last boyfriend, bodybuilder Cemre 'Red' Volkan, was charged with multiple criminal convictions, she took a break from romance.

"I like the idea of dating, but the hassle of it, I don't know," she said. "It's a big commitment. I have Juddy and my friends."

Anyways, she adds, "I always go for the wrong type…I haven't really had many successes – but I guess everything is a learning experience."

Recently cleared of a drug possession charge, Brynne says that she does not use or condone drugs. Watch her interview about it, below:
