Britney Spears speaks out about how she's feeling for the first time since miscarriage announcement
Britney Spears has commented publicly about how she's feeling for the first time since revealing she had a miscarriage over the weekend.
"Unfortunately my mood these days … I honestly hope it doesn't turn into years 🙄 !!!!" the 40-year-old wrote on Instagram alongside an image of Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City.
In the photo, Carrie is seen clutching a towel as tear-streaked mascara runs down her face, saying, "I am not in the mood to be with a bunch of people."

The 'Toxic' songstress also shared a throwback video to Instagram from when she was in Mexico a few hours later, which shows her running on the beach topless, and posing and lying around in a bikini.
"Trying to be sexy running like Baywatch 😳🤷🏼♀️😂 !!!! Pssss #TB to Mexico 🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽 !!!" she wrote alongside the video.
Spears shared the news of her heartbreaking loss one month after announcing her pregnancy, writing, "It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that we have lost our miracle baby early in the pregnancy."
"This is a devastating time for any parent. Perhaps we should have waited to announce until we were further along however we were overly excited to share the good news."

Spears said she and her fiancé Sam Asghari will continue trying to fall pregnant.
"Our love for each other is our strength," Spears continued. "We will continue trying to expand our beautiful family. We are grateful for all of our support. We kindly ask for privacy during this difficult moment."
The post was signed off with, "Sam & Britney."
Asghari commented under Spears' post, "We will have a miracle soon."

Spears and Asghari have been engaged since September 2021, and dated for over four years prior.
The couple have been open about their wish to expand their family, though Spears' conservatorship put those plans on hold.
Spears also shares two sons, Sean, 16, and Jayden, 15, with ex Kevin Federline.
