Crikey! Bindi Irwin reunites with dance partner Derek Hough in Australia

Bindi Irwin has welcomed the man who taught her how to dance, Derek Hough, to Australia, just a fortnight after their victory on Dancing With The Stars US.

The 17-year-old Aussie and 30-year-old US dancer reunited at Bindi's Australia Zoo on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, with a special announcement on both of their Instagram accounts.

"So happy to get to introduce you to our world here in Australia! You are officially a Wildlife Warrior. Bring on the adventure! @derekhough," Bindi wrote.

Derek posted the same photo on his page: "Reunited with my little @bindisueirwin. A.K.A The Champ!!!#AustralianZoo."

Last week, Bindi hinted to Sunrise that Derek would be visiting "soon to meet his own namesake".

She's referring to a koala at Australia Zoo who was named "Derek Hough" back in October during the pair's DWTS stint. We can't wait to see Derek and Derek finally meet!

Derek is the latest celebrity to join the Irwin family's wildlife conservation crew, which includes Bindi's US wakeboarder boyfriend Chandler Powell, singers Jimmy Barnes, The Veronicas and John Williamson, model Ellie Gonsalves, and The Celebrity Apprentice's Tim Dormer.

Bindi described Derek as a "big brother" figure on DWTS – and the pair weren't afraid to express their love for one another on camera either. See the video below for their most personal moment on air:
