Fans slam Taite Radley for 'upsetting' social media post about mental disorders

Fans are not happy about Taite Radley's social media post about mental disorders.

On Tuesday, the 29-year-old Bachelorette winner took to Instagram to share a photo of himself with his girlfriend Ali Oetjen wearing matching Christmas jumpers.

In the caption, Taite wrote, "Find a partner with the same mental disorder as you. PRICELESS. Merry Christmas to everyone. Spread love and happiness. Be safe on the roads."

Fans of the reality star were quick to call him out claiming that the post was inappropriate as it poked fun at people with mental disabilities.

"Please seriously reconsider this post. It's extremely problematic and upsetting," wrote one social media user.

"Sadly as much as I believe you're not mocking people and just a joke at yourself, it could allude otherwise, so I can see why some are offended," commented another.

Another added, "So insensitive to those with disabilities. Not funny at all."

"Making disabilities a joke just belittles and trivialises a reality that many people live with. We should be sticking together to fight ableism in the holiday season, not perpetrate this ideology," wrote another.

One fan urged Taite to remove the post all together.

Starring on season four of The Bachelorette, the Victorian bank manager out out the competition to steal Ali's heart. Despite alleged reports from a year ago that Taite only appeared on the show for fame, the two have remained together ever since.

Ali and Taite first met on the show in 2018 and reside in Melbourne.
