Could Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce attend the Australian Open? Tennis Australia certainly hopes so
Tennis Australia has embraced the 'shoot your shot' mentality with a bold play to attract the world's biggest star to the 2026 Australian Open.
Showing the kind of confidence we should, frankly, all aspire to, the organisation has reached out to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce ahead of the Melbourne tournament kicking off on January 12.
Though the music icon and the NFL superstar are two rather busy people, Tennis Australia has noted a window of opportunity in Kelce's schedule.

"With Travis not making the playoffs with the Kansas City Chiefs, we have extended an open invite to him and Taylor Swift to come to the Australian Open," a spokesperson told the Herald-Sun.
"We are looking forward to welcoming celebrities and VIPs from Australia and around the world."
Only time will tell whether Swift and Kelce, who announced their engagement last year, have the time to squeeze in a trip Down Under to take their seats at Melbourne Park.

However, if they did, it wouldn't be the first time they've been spotted at a major tennis meet.
The couple attended the Men's Singles Final at the 2024 US Open, delighting fans with affectionate displays and some dancing in the stands.
The Grand Slams are always a fun exercise in celebrity-spotting, and the Australian Open is no different.
Even if we aren't treated to a Swift and Kelce sighting, there'll be plenty of homegrown and international stars to keep your eyes peeled for.
While there are often unexpected sightings at the event each year, there are some familiar faces who've become regular attendees.
As we count down the days to the tournament kicking off, here are the stars we're more likely to see at the Australian Open than "T&T".
Eric Bana

Aussie screen icon Eric Bana loves a bit of tennis, and has been spotted at the Open numerous times, often at the finals.
The Herald-Sun reports he's likely to be at the men's finals again this year.
Deborra-lee Furness

Force of Nature star Deborra-lee Furness is another homegrown star who often pops up at Rod Laver Arena.
Furness has attended the last two Australian Opens and has been seen at the event previously.
Liam Hemsworth
He made a stylish appearance at the 2025 Open, and it seems Liam Hemsworth will be back this year.
The Dressmaker star attended the men's final with model Gabriella Brooks, now his fiancee, in partnership with Ralph Lauren.

The pair were dressed beautifully in complementary tones, so if they do rock up again this month, we have some courtside style to look forward to.
Rebel Wilson
There's no denying Rebel Wilson is a tennis girlie.
The Aussie star has been spotted in the star-studded stands at Wimbledon and the US Open over the years, and she's been at the last two Australian Opens.
