Aussie influencer Indy Clinton has revealed her pet dog was hospitalised after eating unusual matter at the beach that appeared to have traces of cannabis in it.

The 28-year-old shared the bizarre story with her 2.1 million social media followers, revealing her beloved golden retriever, Aloha, had accidentally consumed “human poo with gummies in it”.

Clinton said her dog was “not moving” and “drifting off” as she was patting him after the beach.  Instagram/@indyclinton

“We took the dogs and the kids to the beach this morning as usual,” she explained in a TikTok clip.

They got back from the beach and within the hour, their beloved pooch was “leaning and swaying”.

“Oh my god, I’ve never seen a dog go down hill this quickly,” the mum-of-three reacted. “I thought he must have eaten bait.”

She said her dog wasn’t moving, so she took him to the emergency vet where the nurses did a urine test. The nurses revealed the most unexpected result.

“It turns out, he had eaten human [faeces] with gummies in it,” she explained.

“He ate someone’s poo at the beach park/sand dunes. HUMAN POO. so gross man. But it had gummies in it,” she later captioned a snap of her dog.

The test came back positive for what seemed to be tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), an active ingredient in marijuana or medical cannabis.

In Australia, THC ‘gummies’ for medicinal purposes are only legally available through a valid doctor’s prescription and through approved medical channels.

“So he got high from eating the poo,” Clinton concluded. “The vet gave him something to vomit everything out.”

“He’s ok now!!! Just got the munchies,” she posted.

The family had to “wait it out” and could confirm the dog is eating again and feeling much better.

The star said she can laugh about it now, but was disgusted, telling the “dirty” culprit responsible to find a toilet next time.

While another follower, who revealed they were a vet nurse, added: “It’s sadly more common than you think”.
