Australian influencer Indy Clinton reveals why she scribbled out her son's face in family photo

Australian influencer Indy Clinton has left fans puzzled after choosing to scribble out her son's face in a family photo.

The 28-year-old hit the slopes with her family this Easter, sharing a string of photos from their snow trip.

In many photos, she shared different angles of her son Navy, five, Bambi, three, and Soul, two.

But in one singular photo – the main one used on her feed – she used an editing tool to create a black mark blocking out her son's face.

The move left fans curious, considering he was already featured in other pictures in the post.

"Why was Navy scribbled out ?!" one fan asked.

"I think it's because he's at school now," one theorised, while another added, "He was probs pulling an "editable" facial expression."

The mum-of-three then chimed in to the comment thread with the correct answer: "He pulled a weird face it ruined the aesthetic."

Other mums found Clinton's move hilarious.

"Came for this comment. Wasn't disappointed by the reply 😂😂" said one. Another added, "HAAHHA you're so real for that."

"Didn't you take another photo after you noticed Navy face??" one fan questioned.

Another declared: "Normalise scribbling kids out when they mess up pictures 👏🏽😂"

It's not the first time Clinton has made an unconventional parenting move.

Late last year, the Aussie influencer decided to simply change her daughter's date of birth after she deemed it too close to Christmas.

In a TikTok video, the parenting influencer explained that she has decided to move her daughter's birthday to December 12.

"She was actually just too close to Christmas for my liking. I just thought going forward, she's never going to know we've officially changed it," Clinton shared in the clip.

"So she wasn't born on that day, but honestly, nobody else needs to know. I know she slipped, slopped, slapped out of me on that day.

According to NSW Births, Deaths and Marriages, there is no legal way to change your date of birth, but Clinton said she means to do it in an informal way for the purposes of celebration.

"As a mother, it made me think, why don't more people do this? Because I actually can't genuinely think of any reasons why this would be a bad thing."

"I don't know why more people don't do it? Genuinely. Am I crazy? No! I don't actually think I'm crazy," she pondered, "I think it's really smart and nobody else has thought of it."

Some agreed with her stance, with one saying, "As someone born on the 22nd Dec, please PLEASE change it!!! These damn combined presents will be the death of me."

But some urged her to think of future complications. "Do not do this, Indy. She's gonna have to fill out official forms when she's older and not know her freaking bday," one warned.

"We will meet that crossroad when it comes," the influencer replied.
