Aidan's return teased in first look at Season 2 of And Just Like That...

Sex and the City fans went wild when actor John Corbett was seen on the set of the HBO reboot.

Now, the first look at Season 2 of And Just Like That... has been released, teasing the return of his character, Aidan Shaw, into Carrie Bradshaw's life.

Show star Sarah Jessica Parker, shared the clip on Instagram overnight and announced the series would return to screens in June.

Parker dedicated the trailer to "our beloved audience, who keep these stories alive" but didn't address whether Corbett's return was a plot line or a dream sequence.

"We are all blissfully unaware when our lives are about to change," the voiceover poignantly says.

The video montage of moments from across the new season between the three core friends – Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte – is set to Jessie Ware's song Pearls.

Then towards the final seconds of the 90-second trailer, the music cuts and we see Aidan arrive in front of the steps of Carrie's iconic New York brownstone apartment.

"And just like that I realised, some things are better left in the past — but maybe, not everything," the voiceover says.

Fans were clearly lapping up the clip, which had more than 100,000 views on Twitter and over 21,000 on YouTube in the first two hours after it was released.
