Alec Baldwin and wife Hilaria welcome fifth child together: 'He is perfect'

Alec Baldwin and wife Hilaria Baldwin have welcomed their fifth child together.

The new parents took to social media to announce the arrival of their son — a baby boy they're yet to name publicly.

"We had a baby last night," Hilaria captioned the post on Instagram on Wednesday morning (local time).

"He is perfect and we couldn't be happier. Stay tuned for a name."

While Alec shared the same image, he captioned it partly in Spanish, saying, "Number Five is here ..... (For me, number six)

"I love you, @hilariabaldwin My karma is your karma. Your karma is mine."

The Hollywood heavyweight, 62, is seen looking on dotingly at his bundle of joy — the actor's fourth son.

The newborn is little brother to Romeo Alejandro David, two, Leonardo Ángel Charles, four, Rafael Thomas, five, and the couple's daughter Carmen Gabriela, seven.

Alec is also father to 24-year-old daughter Ireland Baldwin, from his marriage to Kim Basinger.

The newest addition to the Baldwin family comes after the couple endured a heartbreaking miscarriage last year.

The yoga instructor, 36, announced she was "devastated" at the loss of her unborn daughter just four months into her pregnancy in November 2019.

Hilaria had also suffered a miscarriage in April the same year, ten weeks into her pregnancy.

This April the couple announced the happy news they were expecting again.

"Sound up … I'll let the baby do the talking because I don't have the words to express how this sound makes us feel," Hilaria captioned a video of her bare belly with the noise of a baby's heartbeat audible.

"Just got the great news that all is well and all is healthy with this little munchkin. I wanted to share this with you. Here we go again."

Hilaria told fans she wouldn't be finding out the sex of the baby this time, instead focusing on its health.

"What happened last year changed me in terms of focusing on certain things," she said about of her two losses.

"I loved focusing on the sex of the baby … but right now I am going very slow with this experience and being very cautious."
