Cryptic move from Isaac Heeney’s fiancee Steffie Waters amid Swans fallout

Isaac Heeney’s fiancee Steffie Waters has quietly wiped pictures of the AFL player from her main Instagram grid as the Sydney Swans controversy continues.

While Waters’ Instagram grid and profile picture used to feature her partner, Heeney’s photos are now nowhere to be found on her landing page – but interestingly, they haven’t disappeared completely.

Photos of the pair together still exist on her page, which has over 33,000 followers, but you have to swipe through several slides of a gallery to find the photos of them together.

Her most recent post from June include photos of the couple at Sydney’s Crown hotel. The post includes photos of their dinner at the luxurious resort, as well as a picture of the pair cuddled up together.

However, the picture of the pair together has been moved to the very back of the carousel. The very same photo used to be the first image in the post.

Isaac Heeney’s fiancee Steffie Waters deletes engagement photo amid Sydney Swans scandal

The post has apparently been updated in the last day, with Instagram letting her followers know that it was edited 22 hours ago.

It comes just one week after Waters deleted her engagement post from her account, leaving lingering questions over the pair’s relationship status following the Sydney Swans scandal.

The alleged events of August 17 saw Swan’s vice-captain Heeney and four other players – Chad Warner, Nick Blakey, Riley Bice and James Jordon – suspended for the remainder of the season for breaching club standards.

When Heeney and Waters’ engagement post first quietly disappeared, many other loved-up pictures of the couple remain viewable to the public. Now, many of those have been deleted as well.

Several images of the pair, including pictures from their travels and their attendance at the 2025 Brownlow Medal ceremony, were still on Waters’ social media page just a week ago.

Now there’s just one video of Waters from last year’s Brownlow, which is dedicated to her stylist and beauty team.

A birthday post for Heeney from May 5 is also gone. It depicted the pair sharing cocktails on the beach together.

“Happy 30th birthday to this boy. Can’t wait to be your wife,” Waters captioned the post, which has now been removed from her page.

Heeney has since been revealed as the focus of a Victoria Police investigation into allegations of sexual assault.

The Victoria Police Sexual Crimes Squad continues to investigate an alleged sexual assault that occurred that evening, but no charges have been laid.

Nine.com.au is not suggesting any of the players who have been stood down have been accused of sexual assault, and no charges have been laid.
